CHOPTA is a glorious village which is still unexplored by travellers. It is the commencement point of the trek to TUNGNATH and further 1.5 km trek from TUNGNATH leads to CHANDRASHILA (4000mts above sea level) which offers 360° panoramic view of snow clad Himalayan peaks including Nanda Devi, TRISHUL and CHAUKHAMBA.
CHOPTA itself offers splendid views of the imposing Himalayan range including TRISHUL, Nanda Devi and CHAUKHAMBA. It is located at an elevation of astonishing 2680mts above the sea level. Rich in varied flora and fauna, CHOPTA is situated amidst thick forest of pine, deodar and rhododendrons.

By Air: JOLLY GRANT is the adjacent Airport to CHOPTA situated at a distance of 221kms. Jolly Grant Airport is well attached to Delhi with daily flights in a week. CHOPTA is well attached by motor-able roads with Jolly Grant Airport and taxis are accessible from Jolly Grant Airport to CHOPTA.

By Rail: The nearby railway station to CHOPTA is RISHIKESH. RISHIKESH railway station is situated 202kms before CHOPTA on NH58 and is joined by railway networks with foremost destinations of India. Taxis and buses are certainly accessible from RISHIKESH to SRINAGAR, RUDRAPRAYAG, UKHIMATH and CHOPTA.
