GHANGARIA is a sightseeing village perched at an altitude of 3,050mts above sea level in CHAMOLI district of UTTARAKHAND state. It is the last human residence centre on the way to HEMKUND SAHIB and the Valley of Flowers.
GHANGARIA is situated at the meeting point of PUSHPAWATI and HEMGANGA River, which is then called LAKSHMAN Ganga. GOVIND GHAT is situated on NH58 on the banks of ALAKNANDA River and acts as the starting point of the trek to HEMKUNTH Sahib and Valley of flowers.
BADRINATH is the most divine DHAM of India. It is situated at an elevation of 3,133mts above sea level in the CHAMOLI district of UTTARAKHAND state. This DHAM was constituted by ADI SHANKARACHARYA in the 9th century. The deity of BADRINATH temple is Lord Vishnu. The temple is situated on the right bank of the holy ALAKNANDA River. Every year millions of tourists and devotees visit this holy place from May to October month. The temple stay closed during winter months as the region is inclined to heavy snowfall. It is situated 21kms ahead of GOVINDGHAT.
MANA is nearby to Tibet border and it is one of the past villages of India. Most of the tourist who visit BADRINATH also come to see the end of the road at MANA. Occupied by Indo-Mongolian tribes often called as BHOTIAS, MANA is situated 24kms from GOVINDGHAT and 3kms from BADRINATH. BHEEM PUL, VYAS GUFA and Ganesh GUFA are interesting places to look for at MANA.
JOSHIMATH is one of the four math created by ADI SHANKARACHARYA. Home of SHRI BADRINATH during winters, JOSHIMATH is connected with AULI by longest cable car of Asia. JOSHIMATH is situated at a location of 1,890mts above sea level. Do visit KALPAVRIKSHA and NARSINGH temple while travelling to JOSHIMATH. It is situated 26kms before GOVINDGHAT.
AULI is quite famous in skiing and paragliding places in UTTARAKHAND situated at an elevation of 3050mts above sea level. AULI afford astonishing and celestial sights of the captivating snow- clad Himalayan range. Asia's highest and longest cable car is situated in AULI attaching it with JOSHIMATH. AULI also held the 2010 SAF winter sports. AULI is well connected by motor-able roads and it is situated 40kms from GOVIND GHAT.

Base camps are generally secured from the severe conditions above or beyond. For many treks, base camps are situated on the borders of the local community in mountainous region. There are commonly no villages and hamlets far away from the base camp.
GURUDWARA is a holy place of worship dedicated to the followers of Sikhism. People from distinctive ideologies, beliefs or those who don’t profess any faith are greeted in Sikh GURUDWARA. UTTARAKHAND has few religious Sikh shrines that are worshipped by Sikhs and large numbers of devotee journey to these holy places.
By Air: Jolly Grant Airport is the nearest Airport to GHANGHARIA but the roads are only connected up to GOVIND GHAT from where you have to trek 13kms to reach GHANGARIA. GOVINDGHAT is situated at a distance of 292kms from Jolly Grant Airport. Jolly Grant Airport is a domestic airport. GOVINDGHAT is well connected by motor-able roads with Jolly Grant Airport. Taxis are available from Jolly Grant Airport to GOVINDGHAT.
By Rail: The adjoining railhead to GHANGARIA is RISHIKESH situated 273kms before GOVINDGHAT on NH58. RISHIKESH is well attached by railway networks with foremost destinations of India.
