GHUTTU is a beautiful village situated on the banks of BHILANGANA River at an elevation of 1,524mts above sea level. It is famous as a base camp among treks to PANWALIKANTHA, KHATLING Glacier and MASAR Tal.

1.KHATLING GLACIER –
KHATLING Glacier can be reached after a 45kms trek from GHUTTU. It is one of the least explored glaciers of UTTARAKHAND making it more adventure loaded. KHATLING glacier is situated at a mind-blowing elevation of 3,717mts above sea level.
The charming PANWALIKANTHA stands at an elevation of 3,963mts above sea level on the south-western ridge of KEDARNATH region. PANWALIKANTHA is a BUGYAL (high altitude meadow) which remains embedded with blooming flowers during monsoons. The trek to PANWALIKANTHA mainly initiates from GHUTTU and TRIJUGINARAYAN. It is at a range of 19kms trek from GHUTTU.
3.NEW TEHRI –
NEW TEHRI is the only planned city of UTTARAKHAND state which was made during the establishment of the TEHRI dam. Every month thousands of traveller visit TEHRI to see the pristine water of the massive TEHRI Dam. The Dam is located amid mountaintop many of which are drowned under the water. New TEHRI is very well attached with motor-able roads and situated 64kms from GHUTTU. The state government is scheduling to convert TEHRI Lake into a major venture tourism destination.
