RUDRANATH is recognized as the temple of Lord Shiva peacefully enriched in the GARHWAL Himalayas. The celestial temple is nestled inside the rhododendron forests and the alpine meadows. It is the fourth temple to visit in the circle of PANCH KEDAR pilgrimage. The exhilarating trek to RUDRANATH temple can be either commenced from SAGAR village, HELANG or URGAM village.

One can enjoy their journey by visiting the sparkling VAITARINI River also known as the 'Water of Salvation' by listening to the melody of the placid river streaming downwards.
RUDRANATH offers tourists to visit the regional temple at SAGAR. The temple is enclosed by several small pools named as SURYA KUND, CHANDRA KUND, TARA KUND and MANAS KUND. Adventurers can explore the region with scenic locations LYUTI BUGYAL and PANAR BUGYAL.
By Air: The nearest Airport to RUDRANATH is the Jolly Grant Airport at Dehradun located at a distance of 258kms from RUDRANATH. You can get taxis up to GOPESHWAR or SAGGAR village from the Airport. Jolly Grant airport is connected to Delhi by daily flights.
By Rail: RISHIKESH railway station is the nearby destination from RUDRANATH. It is situated at a distance of 241kms. Taxis and buses are available up to GOPESHWAR from the station. RISHIKESH is connected to major cities of North India through the Indian railways and trains are frequent to RISHIKESH.
By Road: RUDRANATH can be reached by taking a bus up to RISHIKESH from ISBT Kashmiri gate, New Delhi. Buses and taxis are available from RISHIKESH taking you to GOPESHWAR. It is adjoined to major destinations of UTTARAKHAND by well metalled roads.
