Ali Bedni Bugyal Trek
BEDNI BUGYAL is one of the most beautiful meadows in India. BEDNI BUGYAL provides breath-taking view of the TRISHUL peak and one cannot resist capturing the majestic snow covered peak with their camera. The trek to BEDNI BUGYAL and ALI BUGYAL passes through lush green grassy land, conifer forest clinging into the slopes of hills and steep climbs. BEDNI BUGYAL holds great religious importance amongst the locals. For wildlife and nature-photographers, BEDNI BUGYAL offers lot of opportunities to capture nature at its best.
BEDNI BUGYAL is one of the most enchanting alpine meadows situated in UTTARAKHAND, located at the border GARHWAL and KUMAON in CHAMOLI district. The whole route to Ali BEDNI BUGYAL involves easy to medium grade trekking. The entrancing treks take some through enchanting valleys, hushed hamlets, and conifers and oak forests.

2.BEDNI BUGYAL -
BEDNI BUGYAL also serves as a way station for the famed ROOPKUND trek. The most romantic spots in the Himalayas - meadows greet the adventurers, for as far as the eye can view, scenic mountains, deep valleys and lofty mountains present the most memorable sunsets and sunrises. It is believed amidst the finest high altitude grasslands in the GARHWAL Mountains (altitude 3354 metres) famous for wild high elevation flowers and herbs during the spring thaw, and offering a glorious view of the Greater Himalayan range. Above all, the tremendous western flank of TRISHUL and the Nanda GHUNTI overlooks this heaven on earth. One of the spectacular BUGYALS (High altitude meadows) in Uttaranchal, The VAITARNI lake (also called the BEDNI KUND) is situated in this region, and is famous for the rare Brahma Kamal flower, and is also a prominent way- station on the Nanda Raj JAAT YATRA, a religious ritual procession held every 12 years.
This trek route passes through a number of valleys and villages out of which the most famous is the Wan Village. After this the route moves amidst forests of rhododendrons and oaks. The Wan Village is so popular because you get accommodation and camping options here. There are absolutely no posh and luxury resorts here but the cottages and tented caps are better than luxury hotels.
By Air: Jolly Grant Airport is the nearest airport in Dehradun which is about 256 km.
By Rail: RISHIKESH is the nearest railway station at a distance of 236km.
By Road: Buses are also available from nearby cities to the place. The starting point of the trek is LOHAJANG Pass which is well connected by motor-able roads.
The trek to BEDNI BUGYAL and Ali BUGYAL is stratified as easy as it passes through the village. The moderate trek of 9kms from Wan goes through the deep forest of rhododendron and oak. From LOHAJANG Pass the trek descends for 7kms and then gradually ascends for 4kms, finishing at Wan village.
