Deoria Tal Trek
The lake is located amidst lush green sloped field surrounded by dense trees. DEORIA Tal serves as a popular trekking destination in the region because of its ease of access and soothing scenic beauty. DEORIA Tal lies in the KEDARNATH Musk Deer Sanctuary. If lucky, then you can spot animals drinking water from the lake early in the morning. DEORIA TAL is an emerald lake alight at an elevation of 2438mts above sea level. During early morning on a clear day, DEVARIYA Tal blesses the tourists with reflections of CHAUKHAMBA peaks on its crystal clear water.
At DEORIA Tal one can experience best of two worlds, the first one being the real world and the other one being the reflection of the beautiful surroundings on the lake. DEORIA Tal is also written as DEORIATAL or DEVARIYATAL.
Travellers can stay at couple of small budget hotels at SAARI village like DEVARIYA Guest House. Tent accommodation is also available at DEORIA Tal offering amazing views of the lake. There is a Forest Rest House available at DEORIA Tal for accommodation.
While visiting to DEORIA Tal, you can plan a further trip to CHOPTA. CHOPTA is a famous as Mini-Switzerland of UTTARAKHAND. TUNGNATH pilgrim and CHANDRASHILA, arrives from CHOPTA. You can also visit KARTIKSWAMI or do an extensive trek to RUDRANATH from SAGAR Village.
DEVARIYATAL is a trekking destination amidst the Himalayas rather than a tourist’s paradise. There is not much sightseeing available at DEVARIYATAL apart from the mighty Himalayan peaks that are visible from the vantage of DEVARIYATAL such as CHAUKHAMBA, MERU, SUMERU, and KEDAR Dome to name a few.
The trekking route to DEVARIYATAL involves easy to medium grade trekking. The 2km trek offers some of the amazing bird-eye views of SAARI village and its lush green paddy fields.
DEVARIYATAL is ideal location to camp with family and friends. Camping just beside the lake is a rewarding experience. The reflection of CHAUKHAMBA peak can be seen clearly on the DEVARIYATAL.

SAARI is the last village one encounters before the trek to DEVARIYATAL starts. One can walk around the village and learn about their way of life, customs and culture. The people are warm and welcoming.
